Busy month

We have had a super busy month! September has been way too busy but so much fun!!

Right now we have t-ball, softball and Gamecock football!

My Dad has been working nights so we have not seen him much. And probably wont until around Christmas! He and Nena came by the other night to show us the new car they bought! The boys loved it.

We have also been celebrating with friends for their Birthday!

Alyssa turned 4!! Oh how we love this sweet girl!!

Can't believe how big this kid is getting. Patrick we love you so much. You are so funny and smart!

And little P is just a handful! He is always dirty, messy and wild. Would not have it any other way!!

We are off to Edisto this weekend with a few other families! I can't wait. We have not been to Edisto in 2 years.

Almost over!

Well Football has started and it's getting cooler. Looks like summer 2012 is pretty much over. We have enjoyed our summer trips and our pool time. Sad that it's over but looking forward to slowing down a bit. Bye bye summer nights!

911 call ER visit.

This was on Sunday....



Saturday night Pierce started running a low grade fever and his nose was running. I just thought it was teeth since he is currently getting 3 molars in right now. Well I gave him some meds before church then after church he felt really warm. I was concerned because we have given him meds already. We did a cold bath and then took him to the afterhours at Providence. They never checked his fever and did a strep test and it came back negative. So just said fluids and Tylenol and Motrin.



Well on the way home I stopped by sonic and got him a power aide slushy. And Patrick a milkshake. Got some Motrin in him and then we were all eating them on the counter when pierce fell back words. He did not get hurt but looked stunned when I picked him up. He kept staring at matt and did not blink with his mouth open. I picked him up to move him and he started to turn blue and stopped breathing. His body went limp. Matt called 911.We were freaking out! I tried to put my fingers in his throat to make sure did was not choking and his jaws were locked. We blew in his face and kept doing that while on the phone with 911. He was starting to come around but was not 100 % when EMS showed up.



Strapping my baby to a gurney in a car seat made me sick. It was horrible. The Ambulance ride was scary and they end up putting an iv in incase he had another while riding there. We got to the hospital and all beds were full. So we waited with the EMS guys in the hall. Finally a bed came open and the doc said it was likely a Febrile seizure. They gave him more meds and continue to monitor his fever it was 103.3 with meds. It had gone up after being on meds almost all day! They also did x-rays and blood work. X-rays came back cloudy in his lungs. They said that he had the start of Pneumonia. And we were floored. He had not been coughing or even acting sick! They gave him meds but also told us it could be viral and amox would not help if that was the case.

 I’m pretty sure Matt and I are still more shook up than he is and was. I have never been so scared in my life. I thought we were going to put Pierce in a body bag! When you have no idea what is going on and your kid stops breathing and turns blue you feel so helpless! Kids are different. Patrick would run a 104 without any problem and Pierce had a seizure at 102.8-103.



On Tuesday Dr. Soroos put him on a new antiobotic and he is feeling much better!

Oh and this is Matt trying to hula hop in the garage with the boys! He just wishes he had my skills!!

They love each other so much! I hope it continues forever. :)

White Lake 2012

White Lake was a blast this year! Now that Patrick can swim he was able to play in the lake without his jumper and he loved it! We got to spend some fun times with my Mom and my Brother and his family.

                            These three boys love each other so much! It's so nice to see them all together:)

Oh and I got up on the Ski's! Something I have not done in over 3 years! It was great but exhausting!

Oh and I ordered these shirts for the boys! I'm in love:)

Mountain weekend 2012

The Cowherd family invitesd up up to their mountain house for a weekend of fun! Blowing rock did not disapoint! The weather was great!!

We had 4 families total and 8 kids! It was a blast. It's so nice when someone can cook dinner while the others do the dishes and prepare plates for the kiddos! We have all decided to move in to one house and live together! Haha!

Summer fun

We have had a busy summer so far and it will continue for the next few weeks! I love summer so much but I am looking forward to Fall because of FOOTBALL!!

Smoothies with friends are the best! We normally make smoothies about once a week, it's really to get rid of the soft fruit but it's always a fun time!!

Fun times with friends in the yard! This poor slip n slide was put to rest this day! The big "boys" had a turn then the poor slide started to deflate! Good thing we got a lot of use out of it!

Now this was so funny! I had the fridge open to get something and turned around and Pierce was in the fridge. When he came out he had a huge french fry in his mouth. Somehow he had gotten in there and grabbed some goodies from a to-go box. Patrick thought it was the funniest thing ever!

I asked Patrick to go to the store with me on Sunday. He is normally in his undies for some reason so I told him to get dressed. Above is what he picked out. Nothing at all like what I would have put him in. He was very proud of his decisions.

And this is Patrick's baby clementine. He thought it was the coolest thing ever! He kept telling me his orange had a baby!

This weekend we are off to the mountains with some friends then next thursday it's off to White Lake! I am going to need some time off work to recover from all our vacations:)
